Teachers & Staff

Hello, my name is Lisa Bockskopf. I have been a pre-school teacher/aide for the past 16 years. I began as a substitute when we started with one room of children. Gradually I became a teacher’s aide and have been here ever since. Mrs. Paeper and I have been working together since my first day. We complement each other very well. I enjoy seeing how the children grow and learn from the beginning of the school year. I have also enjoyed meeting many families here at St. Francis.
I have been married for 27 years and have two boys who graduated from St. Francis and St. John Vianney High School. I enjoy watching Cardinals baseball, hanging out with my family and friends and any summer time activities like going to the beach and swimming.

Welcome to St. Francis of Assisi Preschool! My name is Sarah Della Croce. To tell you a little about myself, I received my education degree from the University of Central Missouri in 2001. I spent six years teaching middle school Science. After my children were born, I took on the role of stay at home mom. I spend four years at home watching my babies grow. After my oldest, Nicolas, finished Pre-K, I began working at St. Francis of Assisi. This is my fifth year here at St. Francis, the first two were spent as a preschool aide, and this will be my 3rd year teaching Preschool and Pre-K. I teach Monday/Wednesday/Friday Pre-K and Tuesday/Thursday Preschool.

I have been married to my husband, Greg, for fourteen years. We have two wonderful children. My oldest child, Nicolas, is in fourth grade. My youngest, Ava is in second grade. Both of them attend St. Francis as well! When I am not spending time with my children at their sporting and scouting events, I enjoy reading, walking, and baking.

I look forward to a great school year with your children! I can’t wait to watch them grow and learn every day!

Welcome to St. Francis of Assisi Preschool!
My name is Elaine Dyn and I am the Preschool Secretary! I have been a part of St. Francis School for 24 years! I started as playground monitor, then first grade aide, PSR Secretary, and in 2003 when preschool became part of the school, was asked to be Preschool Secretary!
In all the years I have been at SFA I have always loved my job, but preschool has been my favorite. I love getting to know all the new families and I love the smiles and hugs from the little preschoolers. They certainly make my day!!
My husband and I have been parishioners of SFA for many years and our three children graduated from St. Francis! They received a wonderful education and have fond memories of their days here!
I feel blessed to be part of SFA School and Parish and will do everything I can to make sure you and your child/ren feel loved and appreciated!

I have been married for 26 years. We live in Arnold and have one son attending UMSL. I started at St. Francis in 2008! My favorite thing is seeing a child’s face light up when they grasp a concept. That is awesome!

My name is Patricia Laury, and I want to welcome you to Friends of St. Francis Preschool. I am very excited that you chose St. Francis as your child’s first school experience.

To tell you a little about myself, I received my BS in Elementary Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis. This year begins my 27th year in the teaching profession, all of which have been spent in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Previously I have taught both Kindergarten and 2nd grade, however, I have been with the preschool now for 11 years, and I just love it!

I have been married for 33 years and have 2 awesome sons, both of which are alumni of St. Francis of Assisi.

I know that each child is unique and different, and I look forward to getting to know them all!!

My name is Flo Paeper and I am a Preschool teacher here at St. Francis of Assisi Preschool. I have been teaching in our preschool for 17 years, and was lucky enough to be here since our preschool began. I enjoy seeing the immeasurable progress the children make from the time they enter our doors, until they move on to kindergarten. St. Francis is truly my second home and I like to be active in the school. I am a STUCO moderator, I work with the Panther Club, and I am a children’s liturgy catechist.

On a personal note, I have been married for 15 years and my family and I are SFA Parishioners. I have a son who is currently in the 4th grade here at SFA. We spend most of our free time watching our son play a variety of sports. I enjoy sports, crafting, and lots of sunshine!

I Love My Job for All the Little Reasons!

I would like to introduce myself to the St. Francis School Community.  I am a graduate of the University of Missouri with a B.S. degree in early  childhood education, as well as certification in art from the State of Missouri.  I have had the joy of teaching children in the St. Louis Archdiocese for thirty plus years.

This coming year my husband and I will be celebrating our 40th anniversary.  We have one daughter and son-in-law.  We also have a beautiful four year old granddaughter we dearly love.  My other passion is in creating art and going to the theater.  I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know the St. Francis community.  Thank you for welcoming me to your school.  May God bless and keep you!

My name is Ruth Duncan!  I am a preschool aide in Mrs. Della Croce’s class.  I previously taught for the Archdiocese of St. Louis for 29 years as a third grade and fifth grade teacher at Queen of All Saints, and St. Mark’s School.  I was also a preschool aide for the last two years.

I teach Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Religion to a class of four year preschool students at the College Church on Sunday mornings.

I am very excited about being a member of the St. Francis of Assisi School family.
