Mrs. Beth Bartolotta
Principal
Contact e-mail: beth.bartolotta@sfaschoolstl.org

Beth holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood education from Maryville University, a Master’s degree in Special Education from Fontbonne University, and a Master’s degree in Administration from Saint Louis University.  She is a certified religion teacher and certified catechist for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.  Beth spent the last 9 years as the principal of St. Justin Martyr.  Prior to that she was a learning consultant and a primary teacher at St. Justin Martyr and Our Lady of Sorrows.  She has served on accreditation teams with the St. Louis Archdiocese and with AdvancED.

Beth was the recipient of the Rose Philippine Duchesne Distinguished Principal Award in 2013.  She brings to St. Francis experience in standards-based grading, professional learning communities, curriculum mapping, integrated instruction, strategic planning, enrollment management, data teams, and more.  With these best practices in place, St. Justin experienced its highest level of enrollment in 40 years and wait lists at several grade levels.  Data from the Archdiocesan database indicated that during the final five years of Beth’s tenure as principal, St. Justin, which sits within the Lindbergh School District, had a higher percentage of growth in enrollment than the Lindbergh district did during that same period.

Along with St. Francis parishioner Dr. Mary O’Connell, Beth was a member of Archbishop Carlson’s Mission Advancement Initiative.  The two served on a committee led by Dr. Karen Tichy to develop rubrics to accompany the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Schools.

Cultivating opportunities for encountering Christ is a goal of hers.  Beth says that she is looking forward to creating a shared vision with the community of St. Francis of Assisi and to build a stronger, more viable ministry of Catholic education within the parish.

Welcome to St. Francis of Assisi School! I am very excited to be teaching your children in the coming year. To tell you a little bit about myself, I graduated from Missouri State in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Education. I started at St. Francis of Assisi in the fall of 2005 as a preschool aide. In 2007, I began teaching my own preschool class while continuing to be an aide. From 2008-2014, I moved to the Pre-K classroom as a teacher and in 2014 started teaching Kindergarten. This will be my third year as a Kindergarten teacher. In total, I have been with St. Francis of Assisi for 11 years.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Matt! Together we have two children who both attend St. Francis of Assisi school. Logan, is in second grade and Maya is in kindergarten. We recently moved to Oakville, MO and are members of SFA parish. In addition to teaching, I am very active in the parish. I am a member of the Parish Missionary Disciples, the technology committee and a chair for the parish picnic. When not attending sporting events for my children, my free time is spent with my family visiting the various St. Louis attractions.

With each new school year, I love the new students, new faces and new personalities. I am most excited to get to know each and every one of my students. I am eager to see how much they already know and how much they will learn this year. I am overwhelmed with new ideas that I want to implement and cannot wait to see how they will grasp these new concepts. I am looking forward to seeing another class of children come to me eager to learn and hopefully walk out at the end of the year with a wealth of knowledge. I look forward to a classroom full of students that trust me to be their mentor and leader, their guider and their provider. It is a great honor and privilege to teach at St. Francis of Assisi school. Thank you for all of your support!

I attended Fontbonne University and received a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Elementary Education in Spring 2017. This is my second year of teaching, but I have 2.5 years prior experience in the classroom, subbing and completing practicums. Because I am fresh out of school, I am up-to-date on the newest trends and philosophies in the classroom. I love working with kids and I’m beyond excited to be on this journey!

Outside of school, I am involved with and passionate about dancing with the German Cultural Society of St. Louis. I have been German dancing since I was six years old and can’t imagine my life without it. It is always fun to meet up with old friends, make new ones, and keep our German heritage alive!

Welcome to St. Francis of Assisi! I am really looking forward to working with the students again this year. I’ve worked in many positions at St. Francis over the years. Thirteen years ago I started as playground monitor for recess, then moved on to volunteering in the school library. Next, I had the opportunity to substitute in all the grades and specialties. This is my fifth year as an aide. I’ve been an aide in: Kindergarten, 1st grade (twice), and 4th grade. Now I’m excited about being the aide for 4th and 5th grade. I’m honored to work with the students and I love to see how their minds work and how they view the world. I hope they enjoy working with me as much as I enjoy working with them. I’ve been married to my husband for 23 years and we have two children. Our daughter is a graduate of SFA and our son is in 8th grade.

I am Miss Rebecca Siefert. After obtaining my BA in Music Education from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, I have been a substitute teacher and an aftercare/summer care teacher for the Lindbergh School District.

During my time at UMSL, I had the opportunity to perform in many choir concerts including Carmina Burana (2013) at the Touhill Performing Arts Center and the Christmas Candlelight Concert (2013) at Powell Symphony Hall. I always stive to be a superior teacher and have attended many conferences for the Missouri Music Educators Association and the Missouri Choral Director’s Association.
