Welcome to the Early Childhood Program at SFA School
One of the special hidden treasures of St. Francis of Assisi is our preschool. Our preschool is a comprehensive, Catholic, early childhood facility dedicated to providing children and parents with quality education and services.
Classes are open to children who have their 3rd birthday by October 31st, and are completely toilet-independent. Families may choose 2 to 5 days and either a half or full day schedule.
Your child will interact with their peers, as well as learn responsibility. The children will have an understanding of human interaction and of community connections. They are encouraged to help one another, cooperate in learning, work out their problems independently, and verbalize their emotions.
We are very proud of our preschool and students. To learn more about our Preschool please see below. We’d love to have you visit with us and show you our preschool. To request more information or to schedule a tour click here, email email@example.com, or call Mrs. Elaine Dyn at 487-5736, ext. 132.
Our early childhood program offers flexibility as a response to the needs of working families. Families may choose 2 to 5 days and either a half day schedule of 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. or an extended day schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In early childhood classes, we focus on foundational learning of letters, numbers, shapes, calendar, color, science, social studies, religion, etc., as is true at every stage. We then take those skills to a deeper level with learning centers and hands-on activities appropriate to the developmental stage of the child. This allows learning in areas of socialization, verbalization, independence, motor skills, perseverance, creativity, self control, and more as students are ready. They are better able to connect the learning to their world during a period in their life when they are absorbing such a great deal!
