Meet Mrs. Terriault
Hi there, and welcome to Second Grade! What a fun grade to be in! I love teaching and watching little minds shape and mold into wonderful little readers, writers, mathematicians, and more! Kids also tend to teach us many important things, so I appreciate every moment with them. Our school researches different techniques and ideas to meet our students' interests, learning styles, and needs. In the second grade, our students receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. It’s so beautiful to watch them grow in their relationships with God!
I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Texas State University in 2010, but I married and started a family soon after. Teaching was put on hold for a while so that I could stay home with my boys. I started with St. Francis as a sub for four years and then as an aide for a year and a half. This is my second year as the lead teacher, and I couldn’t be more excited!
I have two sons (6th and 4th grade) attending St. Francis. Our family loves camping, being outdoors, and working at home. We are from Texas and go home every chance we get!
Teaching at St. Francis of Assisi has been the most rewarding job ever. I love the strong sense of community and belonging that St. Francis has, and I am so blessed to be a part of it.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
Meet Mrs. Loscheider
Hi! I'm Mrs. Loscheider, and I enjoy working with Mrs. Terriault to help the second graders grow and learn, whether checking in with them during a lesson or working with them one-on-one. We meet kids at their level and find out what helps them learn.
This is my first year working at SFA. I have a degree in English writing and worked in marketing for 10 years before I was fortunate enough to stay at home with my kids. I've volunteered at SFA since my oldest child started here 10 years ago. I started substitute teaching after my son started SFA preschool in the fall. I then discovered how much I loved working with the kids. I permanently joined the second-grade classroom in October.
My husband and I have four kids. One is an SFA alum, and the other three currently attend SFA. We're usually busy with the kids' activities, but we enjoy playing board games in our free time.
As a mom, I knew that SFA teachers cared about their students. Working here has shown me how much all teachers and staff work together to help the students. Everyone wants the students to be their best!
