Meet Mrs. Klages

Hello! I am Mrs. Klages, and welcome to St. Francis of Assisi’s 4th grade classroom. We love to use our extra classroom space for flexible seating and blended learning. Students use various learning methods to become the best learners and discover what amazing things they can accomplish.

My love for teaching started at seven when I told everyone I wanted to be a teacher in first grade. I received my elementary education degree from Quincy University for grades 1-6. After college, I was a literacy and English language learner teaching assistant for Lindbergh School District for two years. After gaining even more knowledge through Lindbergh, I got my job here at St. Francis. I love sharing my knowledge through various teaching styles to meet the needs of all students.

I attended Eureka High School and then went on to Quincy University to pursue my passions for teaching and soccer. I was fortunate enough to enjoy soccer throughout college while receiving my teaching degree. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy snowboarding, attending St. Louis sports games, and doing anything outdoors. My students also know how much I love my morning coffee!

For the past three years, I have seen what a wonderful community St. Francis of Assisi is. Everyone has been welcoming, making it a place I never want to leave. I have learned so much from each student, parent, and coworker, and I look forward to learning more in the coming years.

Meet Mrs. Berkbigler (Mrs. B)

Hello! I am Mrs. Berkbigler. I love having the opportunity to work with students, whether in an entire classroom, in small groups, or individually. I love giving extra assistance when it is needed so that each student feels successful!

I am fortunate to have worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Archdiocese for the past 31 years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to assist in every grade level from Preschool through 8th grade.

My husband and I have three grown children who attended St. Timothy School and went on to Catholic high schools. We have been blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law, two wonderful sons-in-law, and seven amazing grandchildren. I love spending time with all of them and attending my grandchildren's sporting events.

I am looking forward to my second year at St.Francis of Assisi. The faculty and staff were very welcoming to me when I arrived. I have enjoyed getting to know many of the students and their families. St. Francis of Assisi is an amazing place to work.

Meet Ms. Mora

Hello! I am Ms. Mora. I am a para for the 4th grade. I sit with students who need a little extra help in the classroom and pull students out into the hallway when needed. I focus on how each student learns best and help them learn the material being presented.

I wanted to be a teacher from a young age. I watched my mom be a teacher when I was growing up, and now I get to work with her at school. I went to Missouri State University and received a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Special Education.

I live downtown with my dog, Oscar. I love to travel! Some places I've visited recently are Oregon, Minnesota, and Colorado. Alaska is next on my bucket list. In my free time, I work at the zoo as a private event facilitator. Every event is different, but my favorite events to work on are weddings!

St. Francis of Assisi is special because I attended grade school here. My mom was a teacher. Now, my mom and I are both teachers, and we get to work together every day.
