Meet Mrs. Burkhardt
Hi! I am Mrs. Burkhardt. Welcome to 5th grade at St. Francis of Assisi. I aim to instill a love of learning through the wonders of books and reading. I want them to understand that knowledge is endless when you immerse yourself in reading. I want my students to explore the past, live in the present, and look forward to the future.
My grandmother, who was a teacher, inspired me to become a teacher. She helped to instill my love of learning. I have a Bachelor's in Education from the University of Missouri—St. Louis. I have been fortunate enough to have been a teacher here at SFA for 37 years.
My husband and I currently have two Shelties: Sheldon, a 3-year-old bi-black, and Daisy Mae, a 1-year-old dark sable. We love to travel and spend time with family and friends.
St. Francis has been my home away from home. The parishioners, parents, faculty, and staff treat you like family.
If you have any questions, please email me at mary.burkhardt@sfaschoolstl.org
Meet Mrs. Howley
My husband and I have two grown children who are both proud alumni of St. Francis of Assisi. We enjoy spending time with family and friends.
I am grateful to have always been welcome at St. Francis. When our parish school closed 20 years ago, they opened their doors to all the students, and that meant a great deal to us. Since then, I've become more and more involved until I was invited to be an aide about ten years ago. I have always been proud to be a part of St. Francis in various capacities.
