Meet Mr. Adams
Hello! My name is Daniel Adams, and I am the preschool teacher for St. Francis of Assisi's PK-2 classroom. My goal in our preschool class is to get our new students excited about learning. My students are typically new to being in a school setting, so introducing them to demonstrating kindness and respect with peers, following directions and routines in the classroom, and engaging in academic activities is my top priority. Preschoolers always participate in fun, new games, projects, and activities to keep learning fresh and exciting. Every day is a new learning opportunity!
I first found a passion for teaching when participating in the A+ scholarship program at my high school, where I helped tutor and student-teach at the elementary school I attended. While finishing my Bachelor's degree at UMSL, I accepted a job at St. Francis of Assisi as the Afterschool Care Director, where I fell in love with working with the program's many preschool and pre-kindergarten students. Since becoming the PK-2 teacher at SFA, I have applied my passion for learning and teaching in my classroom to get students passionate about their academic careers.
My wife Samantha and I live in Oakville with our dog, Meeka. In my free time, I love reading, writing, and listening to music. Family is very important to me, and I'm grateful to spend as much time as possible with my parents and siblings.
Teaching at St. Francis of Assisi has been the most fulfilling job I've ever had the pleasure of having. I love the kind, supportive staff and the wonderful community our church and school bring together. It is wonderful to be part of this community that constantly strives to live out our Catholic mission.
Meet Mrs. Anterio (Miss A)
Hello! My name is Mrs. Annie Anterio, and I’m a preschool aide for Mr. Danny Adams. I love spending time teaching SFA’s tiniest and newest students. I love to see the wonder and awe when my students learn a new idea, master a new skill, or find a way to help a friend.
I started out at SFA as a parent volunteer, which quickly led to a position as a substitute teacher. After spending half a year as a long-term sub with Mr. Adams, I accepted a full-time position as a preschool aid.
My son Salvatore is a fourth grader here at SFA. Most of my free time Is spent watching him play ice hockey, baseball, soccer, and basketball.
SFA is an amazing community to be a part of. Our families are willing to lend a helping hand, and our students love to help each other learn and grow in Christ’s love.
