Meet Mrs. Della Croce

Hi! I'm Mrs. Della Croce! Welcome to our PK3 classroom, where everyone is encouraged to learn at their speed. We love to learn by singing, dancing, and playing. Our learning is often hidden within games and activities to inspire a love of learning in everyone!

From the time I was 10, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I loved helping others learn, and especially wanted it to be fun and engaging. I obtained my teaching degree through Central Missouri State University (now UCM) in 2001. I started teaching in a 5th-grade homeroom, teaching grades 5-8 Science. After 6 years, I took a break to be a stay-at-home mom. After four years at home, I felt the need to return to the classroom! St. Francis needed preschool. And here I am! This will be my 13th year in preschool at St. Francis of Assisi. I enjoy attending as much professional development as possible, which helps me learn the latest methods and continue to grow in being my best self!

My husband and I have two high school-aged children who graduated from St. Francis of Assisi. In our spare time, we love to travel, watch our children compete on their high school sports teams, and explore new restaurants around St. Louis.

I always tell families my children were at St. Francis of Assisi before I started working here. I loved it so much that I decided to take a job teaching here! St. Francis of Assisi is truly a community, helping each other grow in our faith.

Meet Mrs. Dooley

Hello! I am Mrs. Karyn Dooley and I am an aide in Mrs. Della Croce's preschool classroom. I love helping these kids learn all kinds of fun skills! They are so smart and fun to be around!

I have been a stay at home mom for the past 18 years! Last year I started substitute teaching in the preschool - and fell in love! I am having a great time in preschool this year! This is such a great program, and a wonderful environment for the kids!

I have been married for 22 years to my husband, Tom. We have two kids that both attend Oakville High School. Our son is a senior this year, and our daughter is a sophmore.

SFA is amazing! My kids both went to preschool here, and we loved it so much! Now that I am teaching here, I can see why. The teachers all care so much about the kids and their families! It is an amazing environment to teach and to learn! I am so happy to be a part of it!

Meet Ms. Yadi

Hello! I am Ms. Yadi, and welcome to the St. Francis of Assisi PK3 Classroom! This is my first year at SFA, but my second year in a preschool classroom. I love working with students, inspiring them to learn and grow!

My love for teaching sprouted at a young age. I worked as a camp counselor for multiple summers during middle, high school and college. I started out at Meramec Community College, but decided to change my major two times. Becoming a hairstylist first at National Academy of Beauty Arts. Then graduating from the Le Cordon Bleu of San Francisco as a Pastry chef. After pursuing both careers for 15+ years. I decided to get back into the classroom after nannying the last two years. I remembered just then how much I enjoyed working with children.

I have been a part of St.Francis of Assissi parish since 2019. My son Yahir attends St. Francis and has since preschool. We love SFA because it truly feels like family here. We love to travel back home to Mexico when time allows and we enjoy local restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries.

Teaching at St.Francis has been a great place to teach because everyone is family here. Everyone is happy to help. Most importantly it's a faith filled environment.
