Meet Ms. Soell

Hi there! My name is Miss Soell and welcome to the St. Francis of Assisi PK4 classroom! This will be my second year teaching at SFA. Here, we focus on preparing students for kindergarten by supporting academic, social, and emotional development. Each week, we have a fun and engaging theme to guide us through our curriculum and meet our unit standards. I love watching students meet new goals and get excited about learning!

Back to school has always been my favorite time of year! As a kid, I was excited about school because I loved learning new things and seeing my friends and teachers daily! I started my college career at Mizzou. After two years at Mizzou, I transferred to Maryville University, where I studied Human Development and Family Studies, emphasizing Child Life. I have such a passion for child development and love getting to pursue that at SFA Pre-K!

Fun fact about me: I attended SFA from preschool through 8th grade, and my family has always been a part of the parish! I enjoy spending time with family and friends in my free time, finding new yummy treats to bake, and shopping.

It has been amazing to be back at SFA as a teacher! Years ago, this place instilled in me the passion for learning and love of Christ, and I love getting to do that for our students here! We have such a great community, and it is truly a special experience that I am so lucky to be a part of!

Meet Mrs. Sampson

Hello! I'm Mrs. Sampson. Welcome to St. Francis' preschool! I love working with our preschool students and watching them learn and grow in a fun, interactive, and engaging learning environment.

I started my career path in the insurance industry with a fairly high-pressure job. After 20 years, I decided to make a change. Around this time, my daughter started attending St. Francis' preschool, and I began volunteering to run our school library and storytime program. It was then that I discovered how much I loved working in education. Ten years later, I'm honored to be working in preschool. I couldn't ask for a more fulfilling career.

My husband and I have one daughter who attends Cor Jesu Academy. I'm blessed to work at St. Francis. I have been a parishioner here since I was a child, and my daughter attended school here from preschool to 8th grade. It's such a wonderful community and an excellent learning environment.
