Our middle school students have been participating in a project-based learning class called Catholic Connections, where they focus on one of the Catholic Social Teachings and do an action research project about a vulnerable population when it comes to the social teaching. This year we are focusing on the dignity of work and 3 vulnerable populations for this need: immigrants, those starting over such as former homeless, former drug addicts, or returning veterans, and those who have mental or physical disabilities. The students have been researching and learning from community leaders who support these groups. Now they are preparing for their capstone projects that will be featured in our annual Home and School Showcase on May 11th beginning at 5:30 pm. Please save the date and be sure to attend both the showcase and the final Home and School Meeting of the year that evening!
