Flat Francis traveled to Alaska! He started his travels with an early morning flight to Seattle before heading to Sitka, Skagway, Dawes Glacier, and Juneau. During his travels, he saw amazing wildlife and beautiful scenery. The bald eagles were everywhere! He also saw whales, otters, and sea lions. Flat Francis discovered that he loved Alaskan Fry Bread. It was yummy!

Beginning Sunday, August 25, at 9:00 Mass, children ages 3 – 7 will be invited to come forward when the Mass readings are about to begin. After a blessing from the priest, two adult leaders will lead the children to a classroom in the school for a lesson specially geared toward their age level. This allows the children an opportunity to wiggle around and learn while their parents are able to fully devote their attention to the Word of God. Children will be led back to church and reunited with their parents after the homily. We have assembled a team of volunteers who have all been approved by Fr. Hamilton and fully certified in Protecting God’s Children. Please encourage your children to take advantage of this special program, that will be offered every Sunday during 9:00 Mass.

Victoria and William took Flat Francis on a 12-day trip to many National Parks.
He went to South Dakota to see the Corn Palace, Wind Cave, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, the Badlands, Jewel Cave (not pictured, mom forgot), and the Crazy Horse Memorial being carved.
He continued on to Wyoming and Montana to see Devil's Tower, Yellowstone, and, of course, Old Faithful. He finally ended his trip in Colorado at Rocky Mountain National Park.

Flat Francis went to Kauai, Hawaii last week!
After his layover in Phoenix, he had a great view from the airplane, an ocean view in Kauai where he could watch the chickens and roosters roaming the island. He took a boat tour of the Na Pali coast and a day trip to Oahu where he visited the USS Arizona and hiked Diamond Head. He loved a kayaking trip upriver and hiked through the rainforest to see Secret Falls!

Flat Francis has been enjoying baseball! He traveled to a baseball tournament in Dyersville, Iowa. He saw lots of baseball and cheered Sal's team to a win in the Championship Game. The game was played on the actual field from the movie Field of Dreams. Flat Francis had a blast watching baseball and exploring the Field of Dreams movie site.
